Apparently Jack loves bubbles too.

Santa brought us a bubble machine.

My secret Mom Motive for that request from the old fat man? The ability to work outside with an entertained 3 year old. I had ZERO idea that my crazy pup would also find it supremely satisfying as well. Just be honest with your inner self for a sec – act like popping a bubble doesn’t provide you with some kind of crazy gratification!

Regardless – cut to Jack & Chech, running carefree through the yard. Popping Bubbles. Ignoring the Poop Landmines. Just chilling, being kids. So I took a few photos with my iPhone…

And then this. HYSTERICAL.

Getting ready for the Holidays

This holiday season has been such a whirlwind – I don’t even have the words to describe how chaotic these last few weeks have been. I’ve somehow been able to capture a few snapshots of the family time we’ve had – and here are some of my faves. This is the most wonderful time of the year – and it’s way crazier than it should be. Looking forward to relaxing a few days next week and just enjoying my little family. <3

Life is Art.

I would have never imagined that all of the events of my life would lead me to where I am today. Sitting at this dining room table, editing a beautiful family portrait, listening to my “Fiance” talk business on the phone. Following my dreams of working a Photographer – capturing images that mean the most to people. Fulfilling my dreams of having a family of my own. Living the dream of working for ourselves, and no one else.

Dip the brush in the paint.

I never would [in a million bazillion years] have imagined I’d be sharing the joy of raising two girls with someone who was my best friend for years.

Another Brush Stroke.

Like people say “I love my husband he’s my Best Friend” – but I legit fell in love with someone who has seen what “Ugly Cry” Amanda looks like,  and still loves me. Best friends forever.

Another wave of color on the canvas.

Tonight Alexandria crept around the corner of the hallway from her room, peeked her head and “softly” yelled at Javy and I, “Goodnight guys, I just wanted to say I love you”. She was trying to manipulate us to let her get out of going to bed – but it was beautiful nonetheless. That beautiful brain of hers thought that up all by herself. Watchout world.

Another splatter of paint hits the canvas.

And now, as this crazy pup named Jack is trying to murder a tennis ball by my feet, as I listen to the sounds of Papi Lindo putting out the garbage, I hear the feedback shriek from the baby monitor, some ice from the ice maker falls into the bin with a crash – I feel overcome with love & a gratefulness for life. Yes I’m loud. Yes I talk too damn much. Yes I’m a social media oversharer. But my life is a priceless masterpiece.

People often say that ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder,’ and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves. – Salma Hayek

Happy October

It makes me so happy when Holiday “months” arrive – because that means fun outfits… and more photos to add to the Iglesias Family Yearbook that I’ve decided I’m making every year. I figure if I do it little by little every month, it makes it easier when it’s time to get it printed!

Today was a turning point in the Alexandria – Milena relationship building process. Alexandria ASKED if she could hold her baby sister. All on her own. She was SO EXCITED.

She gave her kisses, smelled her stinky feet and cuddled her cheek the way that she sees me do – she even tried to give her the pacifier back when she started crying. It was seriously the cutest 10 minutes of my life – and I’m excited to share the photos with you!
