Sometimes we just get some cool, cloudy weather and we gotta go out into the field and enjoy Sunset School.
As part of our homeschool plan, Alex participates in a weekly program called Imacs, which we really love. I’ve noticed such a difference in the way she uses logic and reasoning to solve problems – she feels confidence, pride and genuine excitement to complete her homework! We decided Sunset School would be the perfect place to work on our challenge worksheets with a clear and focused mind.
Mommy also was able to get some work done, too – thank you very much wifi tethering from my iPhone. lol
When she was ready to finish her worksheet work, we decided to explore our surroundings a little more to inspire some big juicy conversations. Alex quickly noticed the freshly cut grass scattered in piles throughout the field we were sitting in, so we brainstormed all of the different things we could pretend this grass is. We settled on Confetti, and through a party… we made Wedding Bouquets and tossed them at our sister (Wedding Photographer’s daughter, amiright?).
Then, nature did something it usually does when you stop and pay attention – it surprised us and we had front row seats to this INCREDIBLY fiery sunset.
Looking forward to our date at sunset school this week – we might wait till the weekend when we get a nice little cold front!!
