I would have never imagined that all of the events of my life would lead me to where I am today. Sitting at this dining room table, editing a beautiful family portrait, listening to my “Fiance” talk business on the phone. Following my dreams of working a Photographer – capturing images that mean the most to people. Fulfilling my dreams of having a family of my own. Living the dream of working for ourselves, and no one else.
Dip the brush in the paint.
I never would [in a million bazillion years] have imagined I’d be sharing the joy of raising two girls with someone who was my best friend for years.
Another Brush Stroke.
Like people say “I love my husband he’s my Best Friend” – but I legit fell in love with someone who has seen what “Ugly Cry” Amanda looks like, and still loves me. Best friends forever.
Another wave of color on the canvas.
Tonight Alexandria crept around the corner of the hallway from her room, peeked her head and “softly” yelled at Javy and I, “Goodnight guys, I just wanted to say I love you”. She was trying to manipulate us to let her get out of going to bed – but it was beautiful nonetheless. That beautiful brain of hers thought that up all by herself. Watchout world.
Another splatter of paint hits the canvas.
And now, as this crazy pup named Jack is trying to murder a tennis ball by my feet, as I listen to the sounds of Papi Lindo putting out the garbage, I hear the feedback shriek from the baby monitor, some ice from the ice maker falls into the bin with a crash – I feel overcome with love & a gratefulness for life. Yes I’m loud. Yes I talk too damn much. Yes I’m a social media oversharer. But my life is a priceless masterpiece.
People often say that ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder,’ and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves. – Salma Hayek
